About Our Team

YVTT was born in February 2014 as a social and community interest sports club to engage as many people young or old in the wonderful sports of swimming, cycling and running! We are about having lots of fun, working hard and being part of a team. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come along and join us….we are all at different stages of our sporting journey…we have some who cannot ride a bike, only swim breastroke…never taken part in sport before…to elite levels of National competitors striving for age group status. Our coaches are renowned for their relaxed, approachable and easy going coaching styles…..and for getting the results!

I love sport and have always gone running, swimming and cycling but just never combined the 3 disciplines…until now!

After the last few years of entering and then not taking part in several open water swims, triathlons and marathons….due to falling pregnant….I am now ready after the birth of my little girl in January! Bring it on!

I help with all the events, social media and PR

I have been learning a lot about Triathlons and the individual disciplines over the last couple of years as my husband, and YVTT member, Dave Burrows has been on his Triathlon journey!

Myself, i am yet to dive in to competitions, but I took up running last summer after the birth of our son Seb and a move to York. Im absolutely hooked now but I must admit that ive not quite clocked up 10k in one go yet!

As far as my role here at YVTT goes, I will be helping to keep you guys up to date with events, news and results. Please let me know of anything important to you that you would like posted; anything club related, start up some discussions, anything at all! I will also be helping to promote the club and find new members.
